The OpenPace project, titled “Broadening Participation through Authentic, Collaborative Engagement with Computing for the Greater Good”, has been awarded a National Science Foundation grant for a 5-year collaboration among six educational institutions (Drexel, Dickinson, Nassau, RPI, Western New England, and Worcester State) and five supporting organizations, including NPFI.
OpenPace will develop an easier on-ramp for faculty teaching FOSS in the form of HFOSS Kits and Instructor-Led Projects (like NPFI’s CO-FOSS projects). To help support OpenPace, NPFI actively seeks grant applications from instructors looking for support for new CO-FOSS projects. For more information on applying, please check our NPFI Grants page.
