The Non-Profit FOSS Institute actively seeks software firms to support new software projects developed by university/college computer science classes for local non-profits. We invite you to participate in the challenge of taking a software prototype and engaging in the work needed to deploy it and maintain it over the long-term.
Benefits to software firms for participating in NPFI activities:
- Engage a new client for support services that might not otherwise be in the software services market
- Benefit from recruiting potential offered by close ties with a local computer science program; use internship model to support software and employee skills development in open source software
- May help company meet community service goals, and generate positive press and visibility
